Who is Badass?:
A group of disabled musicians, performance and visual artists sharing stories through voice, color and physical form.
Badass Has Five Objectives:
(1) heighten awareness about Black disabled organizations and the Black disabled movement via exhibition, performance and presentation;
(2) increase participation and visibility of Black disabled artists;
(3) share common stories artistically and aesthetically;
(4) provide a lens through which audiences gain greater appreciation for the creativity of Black disabled artists; and
(5) create a CD, DVD and book to serve as permanent record of the Badass tour as well as a learning tool for youth.
Target Audience:
In addition to the Black disabled community and communities of colour, Badass targets youth, professionals, educators, artists, media, the elderly
and families.
